Vision Statement
At ANH Consulting, our vision is to transform education by empowering and sustaining teachers and leaders through personalized support, innovative learning, and a restored standard of excellence that ensures every child’s success.

Our Story
Founded in 2020, A.N.H. Consulting is a national education consulting firm based in New Orleans, Louisiana.
ANH Consulting was born out of both challenge and opportunity. When new leadership and the early wave of charter school movements reshaped New Orleans—the only city in America with more charter school networks than any other—our founder, Andrea Heard, found herself pushed out of the traditional classroom. What could have been an ending instead became a catalyst. That moment opened the door for Andrea to reimagine how she could serve education: not bound by one school, but positioned to impact teachers, students, and communities on a larger scale.

Andrea’s journey began as an elementary school teacher before transitioning to high school classrooms. Along the way, she uncovered her gift for mentoring new educators. That passion grew into collegiate teaching, the launch of her blog Ask Miss Heard, and live community conversations with educators, experts, and thought leaders across the field. These experiences laid the foundation for what would become ANH Consulting.
Today, we carry that same spirit of transformation. At ANH Consulting, we empower individuals and organizations through personalized coaching, dynamic professional development workshops, and innovative online courses. Our work extends across schools, nonprofits, and businesses, all united by one goal: to reach the next level of excellence. We believe that when teachers are fully supported, students thrive, families grow stronger, and communities rise.

Our Founder
Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, Andrea Heard is the Founder and CEO of A.N.H. Consulting, Inc. An educator, writer, thought leader, and proud mom, she advocates for quality education inside and outside of the traditional school setting.

Andrea is also the visionary behind I Work for Children, a multifaceted project that blends storytelling, symbolism, and professional learning to re-center educators on their purpose. At the heart of this initiative is a traveling desk—a powerful symbol that journeys across schools, conferences, and communities to remind us of the legacy and responsibility of teaching. The project also includes a dynamic workshop simulation that immerses participants in the lived experience of students, offering educators a transformative perspective on classroom culture and instruction.
In addition to the workshop, Andrea delivers keynote speeches that challenge and inspire audiences to reconnect with their “why” in education. Her forthcoming book, I Work for Children: A Guide Through Your Why, captures these lessons, reflections, and themes, serving as both a personal journey and a practical guide for educators navigating the profession today.

Through this body of work, Andrea continues to model what ANH Consulting stands for: empowering teachers, strengthening schools, and reminding us all that children are at the center of everything we do.

Testimonials

Evolved Instruction - Cohort 1
“Being able to be a part of this summer's professional development was nothing short of phenomenal and helped me tremendously with being a new teacher. I felt prepared as I entered this school year even in spite of teaching online. Following the summer with the weekly coaching, I was able to practice what I just learned. I am consistently sharpening my teaching skills and using my weekly data to get my students on grade level and close learning gaps.”

Evolved Instruction - Cohort 1
“I was ready to give up on the profession of teaching due to the high stress levels and work demand. Miss Heard provided me with the emotional support I needed and taught me how to create clear boundaries for my work as well as a self care regimen tailored to myself. So grateful to her. Now I can continue doing what I love and creating the impact I know we need for our children.”

Evolved Instruction - Cohort 1
“It was very valuable to be able to take the summer and define my learning outcomes using my state standards to fully understand where I am taking my kids through their learning. After tackling my unit plans we were able to do one on one Praxis tutoring and I finally passed my exam. I can walk with confidence knowing I am a qualified teacher now.”
